Lelystad-Haven on the western side of the city lies on the Markermeer. Here, you are one gangway away from the water and are back on shore in no time.This neighbourhood was built on the first piece of Lelystad: the Werkeiland. With its old houses, this is like a village.

The neighbourhood is close to the Bovenwater, a popular recreational lake. This is where you get a breath of fresh air on the water. Catch the wind in your sails and sail or surf back home in no time. You can also kayak and surf like the best here.
