1930s architecture

Contractor and builder Thunnissen is getting to work on the construction of 16 contemporary semi-detached houses, with a modern look and a warm, natural integration into the surroundings. They won the lottery for this last year and can get to work on the latest development in a unique part of Warande.

According to Thunnissen project developer Sven van Brakel, the 16 new homes fit perfectly into the neighbourhood. "We aim to put down a beautiful living environment, matching the overall look that is being realised in De Elzen." Dennis van den Bosch of Bureau 070 is the architect of Thuis In De Elzen. The houses are characterised by stylish 1930s architecture with rich details, high facades and warm colours. Inside, you will enjoy a spacious living room with open kitchen, three large bedrooms on the first floor and a generous attic that can be arranged entirely as you wish, for example as an extra bedroom, study or hobby room.

Waterfront garden

The houses also have private parking and come with a garage as standard. Six homes within De Elzen have a special living advantage: a deep back garden directly adjacent to public water. As a result, you experience the ultimate sense of freedom every day.
"We wanted to create a design that feels familiar yet contemporary. In terms of scale and appearance, the houses fit in nicely with the natural surroundings of De Elzen, with a lot of attention to light, sightlines and a logical layout," Dennis proudly says of the design.
