Drumact festively heralds start of construction 'Living in Verbleu

| | |

Accompanied by professional drummers, the construction of the Living in Verbleu project was festively launched on Thursday, 25 September. The project at Groot Nooten in Warande adds 25 new homes to Lelystad. A nice mix of terraced and semi-detached houses (six of which are life-proof), which makes for a mixed neighbourhood. Amid interest from the new residents, the architect, real estate agent and others involved, Anne van der Steeg and alderman Dennis Grimbergen officially heralded the start of construction by pressing a button. The first homes are expected to be completed around the summer of 2026.

Anne van der Steeg (co-owner Van der Steeg Ontwikkelen & Bouwen): "This project actually came about via a nice surprise: the plots were raffled off by the municipality and we came out on top for this subproject. This allowed us to work here with architect Niels de Vries on a plan for 9 terraced houses and 16 semi-detached houses."

Scandinavian influences

Living in Verbleu is part of Groot Nooten in Warande, where other developers are already building. The neighbourhood will have its own recognisable character with many Scandinavian influences, which are already clearly visible. The project's architecture is fully in line with this, through the use of natural materials and the - in this case blue - colour.

Situated between water and greenery

Wonen in Verbleu's homes will be on Torenvalktocht between Alder Park and Maple Park. Some of the homes have a view of the park and some face the Torenvalktocht, so you literally live between the water and greenery.

Curious about Warande?

"We are a city of green. Let's embrace this and put a little less tiles in our gardens too and add more greenery. A bit more climate-adaptive, that fits well here in Groot Nooten. "
